Old Kentucky Makers Market

The Old Kentucky Makers Market (OKMM) is a popular event held regularly in Bellevue every fall, over several weekends. Founded by residents Kevin Wright and Joe Nickol, the Market brings together artists, musicians, food and beverage--all celebrating the spirit of Kentucky.

It's also designed to showcase the vitality of the community in hopes of drawing in future businesses and developers who have an interest in working in the community.

Wright and Nickol developed the idea as part of their work on The Neighborhood Playbook, a nationally distributed place-making handbook for communities, local governments and citizens who have a desire to revitalize, reinvigorate, or just boost the community spirit in their own towns, both big and small.
